今回のバルセロナサマーキャンプへの参加は、楓にとって本当に素晴らしい経験になりました。
まずは、異国スペインでの指導。
言葉が通じない環境の中、通訳を交えながら、時には身振り手振りで技術を伝える。
そんな楓の指導を、参加者の皆さんが真剣に聞き、一生懸命取り組んでくださいました。
特に印象に残ったのは、大先輩の先生方まで楓のテクニックを学ぼうと、熱心に稽古されていたことです。
大変恐縮する気持ちと同時に、年齢や立場に関係なく「学ぼう」とするその姿勢に、逆に私たちが多くのことを学ばせていただきました。
そして、それは楓にとって大きな自信にもなったと思います。
また、3日間のハードな稽古スケジュールにもかかわらず、参加者の皆さんはいつも明るく、積極的。
その姿勢を見ていると、こちらの方が勉強させていただくことばかりでした。
そして何より、3日間でトータル300ラウンドの組手をやり切ったこと。
これだけ多くの海外の空手家と実際に拳を交えた経験は、技術以上に大きな財産になると思います。
今回、ジョナサン・ティネオ師範には、稽古だけでなく、私たちがスペインでストレスなく過ごせるよう、滞在中も本当に細かなところまでお気遣いいただきました。

Reflections After the Barcelona Summer Camp
Taking part in the Barcelona Summer Camp was a truly wonderful experience for Kaede.
First of all, he had the opportunity to teach in Spain, a country far from home.
In an environment where we did not share the same language, he communicated his techniques through an interpreter and, at times, through gestures and demonstrations.
Everyone listened seriously to Kaede’s instruction and worked very hard during the training.
What left the strongest impression on us was seeing even highly experienced senior instructors training earnestly to learn Kaede’s techniques.
While we felt deeply humbled, we also learned a great deal from their willingness to learn, regardless of age or position.
I believe this experience also gave Kaede a great deal of confidence.
Despite the demanding three-day training schedule, all of the participants remained cheerful, positive, and proactive.
Watching their attitude, we often felt that we were the ones being taught.
Most of all, Kaede completed a total of 300 rounds of kumite over the three days.
The experience of actually exchanging techniques with so many karate practitioners from overseas will become a valuable asset that goes far beyond technical improvement.
Throughout the camp, Shihan Jonathan Tineo showed us extraordinary consideration—not only during training, but also by ensuring that we could spend our time in Spain without stress or difficulty.
We are filled with gratitude.
We would also like to thank all of the instructors and participants who were always kind, cheerful, and welcoming.

Finally, we would once again like to express our gratitude to Kancho Sugihara for allowing us to participate in this summer camp and for granting Kaede permission to teach overseas.
We went to Spain believing that we were there to teach, but in the end, we were the ones who were taught so many valuable lessons.
We will not keep this experience to ourselves. We will bring it back to Japan and make full use of it in our future training and instruction. Osu.
